3.3.3 Trace why their community was established, how individuals and families contributed to its founding and development, and how the community has changed over time, drawing on maps, photographs, oral histories, letters, newspapers, and other primary sources.

Literature and Language Arts: 
1.1 Create a single paragraph:
a. Develop a topic sentence.
b. Include simple supporting facts and details.

Penmanship
1.2 Write legibly in cursive or joined italic, allowing margins and correct spacing between letters in a word and words in a sentence.

agriculture — the science or practice of farming

citrus — a fruit such as an orange or a lemon

climate – the typical weather conditions in an area

crop — a plant such as corn, wheat, etc. that farmers grow and sell

economy –the way that money, businesses, and products are organized in a particular country or area

industry – the production of goods, especially in factories

profitable — producing a profit or useful result

region – a fairly large area of a state, country, etc. usually without exact limits
