Vocabulary

aerodynamic - the branch of mechanics that deals with the motion of gases (especially
air) and their effects on bodies in the flow

anatomy – study of the human body

ancestor - A person from whom one is descended, especially if more remote than a
grandparent

astronomy – study of the universe

aviator – a pilot

aviation – operation of an aircraft

axis - Real or imaginary straight line about which a body or geometric object rotates or
may be conceived to rotate.

botany - science or study of plants

derigible -n: a steerable self-propelled airship [syn: airship]

engineering - scientific and mathematical principles to design, manufacture, and operate
efficient machines, processes, and systems.

exceptional - Well above average; extraordinary

innovation – the act of introducing something new

irrational – not governed by reason, mental clarity, or understanding

ornithology – study of birds

shaft - Projectile suggestive of a spear or arrow in appearance or configuration.

theory - a working hypothesis considered probable based on experimental
evidence
